Bartercard announced as winner of 1000 hour project

You may remember a couple of months ago DraftFCB announced its 1000 Hours project – donating 1000 hours of its time ($200,000) to help prop up businesses in the recession.

The winner of the 1000 hours is Bartercard and it’s a win that will have a knock-on effect, as the company helps small to medium-sized enterprises by facilitating a trade exchange network for effective business conduct.

The New Zealand Breakers connection has prompted Bartercard to come to the aid of the financially-troubled Christchurch Cougars.

An associate sponsor of the Breakers, Bartercard chief executive Paul Bolte said the presence of players Paul Henare and Tim Behrendorff along with former team member Paora Winitana on the Cougars roster, convinced his organisation to negotiate a naming-rights deal with the National Basketball League franchise until the end of the season.
